Diamond Lure is one of those campgrounds we genuinely enjoy returning to. It is quiet, dark at night, close enough to Ellijay for supplies, and far more dog-friendly than most places we have found while traveling full-time in our RV.
We have stayed here in our 40-foot Forest River Berkshire, and the campground works well as both a relaxing place to slow down and a base for exploring North Georgia.

We have stayed at Diamond Lure more than once, and it has never felt like a place where we were just parking for the night. The campground has a quiet, laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and actually enjoy being at the campground.
The dog-friendly amenities are a big reason it stands out to us. There are waste stations throughout the park, a large fenced dog area with benches and plenty of room to run, and our personal favorite—a fenced dog beach. Dog beaches are surprisingly hard to find, so having one right at the campground is a huge perk for us.
There is also a large park and field area, lake access, fishing, a dock, bathhouses, dog-wash stations, and plenty to do nearby. Ellijay is close enough for supplies, food, and day trips without taking away from the quiet campground setting.

We stayed here in our 40-foot Forest River Berkshire. The campground team was accommodating while we worked through the parking and arrival details, which made a real difference when pulling in with a larger coach.
Once we were settled, the campground felt quiet, comfortable, and easy to enjoy. We liked the stay, but judging by the dog park and dog beach, our dogs may have enjoyed it even more than we did.

When you travel full-time with dogs, a campground calling itself pet-friendly can sometimes mean little more than a small patch of grass. Diamond Lure feels different.
Our dogs have room to run, a fenced beach where they can get into the water, and useful amenities placed throughout the campground. Those details make the stay easier for us and a lot more fun for them.
